This is how it all started.  In the first few classes we learned to do graded washes and how to use mask to create white space and keep it.

These are some practice squares showing some techniques like using tissues to lift out clouds (upper panels) and  using table salt for special effect(lower right)

This is the first completed painting that we did in class. The water posed to be a bigger challenge that one might think
